Bruce Nunnally
On the odd news front, Nissan dealerships have begun using a sonic cannon produced in Canada to prevent hailstones from falling on the dealership: http://www.wlbt.com/Global/story.asp?S=1628848& Not a good dealership to have as a neighbor I guess. maydog
I saw this over on slashdot. I wonder what the total cost (purchase price, operating price, enviromental, etc.) of this system is versus the cost of say a large roof or parking ramp? rjhat
Wow, never heard of such a thing. 50,000 feet is a long way up. Hope no planes are flying over!
95SLS
THey use a similar system in Lancaster PA to keep the crows away. It fills with propane and ingnites every 2 minutes and makes a sonic blast that scares away the birds that crap on the cars and trucks. But DOES NOT keep out of towners like me from crapping in my drawers when I hear & feel it out of the blue! The system discribes here must be even bigger! What will they think of next?
