Both back up lights don't work. Manuel says #45 relay under rear seat. Tried to pull it out top came off relay still there. I was afraid to do anything else. What now. Also how do you change the license plate bulb ? This forum has really helped me and saved me a lot of money. 2000 DTS.

The top of the relay came off??

What now.
If the relay is really damaged, buy a new one.

How about the 10A PRKREV fuse in the underseat fuse box??

Also how do you change the license plate bulb ?

Remove the carpeting from the trunk lid and remove the nuts holding the complete trunk mounted license plate and backup lamp assembly to access the bulbs.

Sorry Jim...wrong answer on the plate lights.

On the Deville. The outside clear lens is sort of spring loaded...slide it side ways and the lens will pop out. Change bulb...snap back in..done.

if you remove the whole trim to change the reverse bulbs DO NOT tighten it very tight. The trim edge will crack pretty easily.
