J_Lac
Hi there, new to CaddyInfo. Anyhow I've been looking at post on Cleaning the throttle body (recommended from Technician at Caddy dealer). And I've done what was posted on the instructions. Took the whole unit off and put all the wires and bolts on as I took them off. I then turned the car on and drove it around and noticed the S.E.S. light was still on. So I figured I let it hang overnight and drove again and still was on. Any way to tell what's up?
CarlaValentine
If you click on this link it will bring you to the page on this site that explains how to pull the diagnostic codes yourself. You should take a pen and paper with you to write down any codes. Try that, and post the codes on here. We can help you out from there. http://www.caddyinfo...adingcodes.html And by the way,
BodybyFisher
The SES or CEL might be due to something else other than a throttle body cleaning, as Carla notes, you must pull the codes and see what is setting the code that is causing the light. Check and post codes here in this thread Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
