Genbug
We are new Cadillac owners and need to replace the steering column in our 1992 Eldorado. I am wanting to know what years interchange, and what cars will interchange with mine. I am after a new steering wheel, actuator arm, and ignition rack gear, so i figured a junk yard and whole replacement column would be my least expensive way to go. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
WarrenJ
Any decent salvage yard can cross reference it for you. You could also try Junk Yard Dog: http://www.junkyarddog.com/interchange.htm Regards, Warren There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
sprucegoose
That's a great way to start looking! Thanks for that link Warren! Haven't seen that one before... I use this one a lot also. Have located parts for my GM rides in boneyards all over the states! Most of them don't respond to emails though... I usually call them and work it out over the phone. http://www.car-part.com/ If there are compatible years you will usually see a checkbox asking if you want to include cross referenced years/models in the results.
