caligula81
I have a 1996 cadillac seville sls, love the car. Has given me an assortment of problems over the years. But enjoy the challenges, and love getting my hands dirty to fix the problems. This morning went to turn her on, only to find as I took off I had no power steering. Looked under car and saw a puddle of fluid under. Just wandering how much am I looking at spending at a shop and or is it something that I can do myself. I bet its the power steering pump. Just had the rack and pinion replaced a year ago had lost power steering on the freeway that time.
Dr.Fiero
Get out a light and a mirror.... Might have just popped a hose (if the rack was done recently, someone should have checked for brittle hoses, but... ummm....) if you're lucky. Did you hear the pump whining or anything before? They don't usually just go -poof- with no warning.
