andy03sts
Hi my name is Andy, I have a 2003 seville sts. I did a front brake job on my car last summer. The job was a success, however since May the left side began to squeal. I took the brake assembly apart and discovered the pads were unevenly worn at the top and bottom corners. I thought it could have been a worn out reman caliper If anyone has any suggestions as to what could cause the uneven wear I would appreciate it. Typically this means that your sliders are binding, clean the sliders and use the correct lube on them Quote Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

chrisfrost
Usually white lithium grease on caliper bolts/pins / sliders or possibly the caliper piston is croocked/wedged (not very likely) . Or possibly fr hub bearings , You would know something pretty major was wrong if that is the case . Good luck
BodybyFisher
See this link regarding the use of white lithium grease on the sliders, you need grease that holds up to extreme heat and the lithium grease is NOT up to the task http://www.bobistheoilguy.com/forums/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1082760 Quote Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
