rustyboltz
I have been thinking about changing the spark plugs on my car. I was wondering if there is a special tool or way to change the plugs on back of the engine next to the firewall? What brand of spark plug do you use? They are still good and firing ok, but it is getting a little difficult to start and I was thinking of a tune=up.
KHE
Use the correct AC Delco plugs that are specified for the engine. I have never changed the plugs on a 4.9 engine - only Northstar's. The rear plugs shouldn't be that bad - you might need to use a universal joint with some extensions. Ranger
The rear plugs on a Northstar are a piece of cake compared to the 4.9.
rustyboltz
I thought that since I have only owned the vehicle for about 6 months, it wold be good to change the plugs. I need to crank it a little to get it started and figured that the plugs would be a good place to start. Thanks for the input and help.
