tannertaylormusic
Hi guys, Have been searching for this EVAP solenoid all day to no avail. After lots of internet investigating, it looks like I need to find 1) Evaporative Emission Vacum Purge Switch; 2) Evaporative Emission Control solenoid but I have NO idea where they are physically located on the engine. I read somewhere that they're on the left hand-rear top, but can't find them. Thanks for your help! If anyone has pics of these, it would be extremely helpful. Ranger
If memory serves me correctly, they are on the rear cam cover.
tannertaylormusic
Sweet! Looks like I'm missing a hose on the vacum purge switch. I'm gonna jack it up tomorrow and try to fish it back through. Ideas on re-securing it or fishing it back up?

tannertaylormusic
There should be 2 hoses connected to this right? Because one of the rubber elbows sticking out has nothing attached to it - just wanna make sure it's not some type of air intake...
WarrenJ
Attached is the procedure for the '98 DeVille. I would expect it to be about the same as the '97, but others should be VERY careful about what I expect. Hope it helps. 1998 Cadillac DeVille EVAP.doc There is no means of avoiding the final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
