Lowtrac
I've got a 2002 Seville SLS. I bought it from the first owner, it's in great condition etc... Last year it developed the P0741 issue, so me and a buddy dropped the cradle and replaced the TCC soleniod. A while back it started doing the deceleration stall thing and throwing codes for the CPK sensors. It also started having a rough idle and sometimes I'd have to keep one foot on the gas to keep it running. That sounded like IAC to me, so I went ahead and replaced both CPK sensors (one was brown, so I think they were the Mexican ones that folks seem to have problems with) and cleaned the throttle body/IAC. The codes for the CPKs haven't come back, but I've started getting the P0171 and P0174 lean codes which from what I've read usually indicate a vacuum leak. Just this morning I got for the first time a P1415, related to the AIR system. I think this may provide a clue about where to start looking for the vacuum leak, but wanted some more input about common problem areas. I've already shot Brakleen at the plenum between the intake and throttle body, but it didn't seem to change anything. I haven't removed and inspected it. Any pointers? Ranger
Spray the plenum duct again, but this time flex it at the base with your finger or a screwdriver and see if that might open up the rip (if there is one).

Lowtrac
Ditto what Ranger said Bingo guys. I poked around on the plenum and sprayed some more Brakleen on it. I didn't notice a change in idle, but I started smelling something and noticed clouds of acrid white smoke pouring from the exhaust. I paid $32 and change out the door from the Cadillac dealership for the new plenum. The job was a little more than I thought it'd be because I didn't realize the intake had to come off. Getting the injectors out of the intake was the hardest part though. The old plenum had an approximately 2" tear in it right where it passes through the metal flange. I didn't get to do much of a test drive this afternoon, and she's running like a top as best I can tell. Now on to the water pump... Thanks again.
