MIke D
While driving home the last couple of days I have noticed that at very light throttle pressure (cruising) the gas pedal pulled away from my foot. Literally... I remember reading somewhere that on start up it usually does this to make sure the throttle is closed or something... why would it be doing this while driving? I have been questioning the TPC's operation for a few weeks now. It seams like there is a small dead spot in the travel of the gas pedal (around idle). The car will not do anything then surge all of a sudden... Has this happened to anyone else or should I go get a priest and perform an exorcist???? MD BTW no codes except for A/C... Cop didn't see it, I didn't do it! 93 STS 225,000 Miles 99 STS 111,000 Miles
KHE
If you are experiencing a hesitation when accelerating from a stop, your EGR passages and ports may need cleaning to remove the carbon. Plenty of information in the archives on this. Kevin '93 Fleetwood Brougham '05 Deville '04 Deville 2013 Silverado Z71

Literally... I had this happen as well. It was the ISC (Idle Speed Control) unit. Not too expensive and not too difficult to replace.
