kens96
Verdict is in. I'm told the torque converter failed. The shop says that the failure was premature and is trying to make it right even though the rebuild was done 42K ago. They are rebuilding at their cost and reissuing a new 1 year 15K guarantee. Best I could hope for. Should have it back Thursday / Friday.

kens96
We got the Eldo back late Friday. I have not taken too far since we picked it up because the steering wheel is about 5 degrees off and I fear that with all the work done the alignment is off. I have an appointment tomorrow to have it done. We will see how it runs during the week and let you know the results.
kens96
Runs great. Shifts like a new car. All the problems we had with fish bite, hard shifts, and downshifting are gone. The alignment was needed on all 4 corners. Handles great. Its a shame it won't last forever. We put a mark in the sand at the end of the year we need to get another car. Looking at a late model STS(if I get my way, a CTS (if the wife wins) or if I get nostalgic the Dodge Challenger RT with the Hemi. (Had a "73" with the 340 , posi , pistol grip, 4 speed) We will see !
