vdwarren
I want to change the front motor mount on NS. Would like advise or hints, and approx. labor time. I use some small drive up ramps in order to get under the car. Thanks as always.
BodybyFisher
I want to change the front motor mount on NS. Would like advise or hints, and approx. labor time. I use some small drive up ramps in order to get under the car. Thanks as always. Vern, I recently replaced my front mount, I attached the thread to that job. I put a 2 x 10 cut to the correct size under the oil pan and supported and lifted the engine as high as I could. Detach the dogboners, and remove the fans. Take the four bolts holding the mount in place out along with the studs (a socket fits those studs).. then take the two nuts off that holds the mount frame to the rubber mount, and take each part out separately. When you install the new mount take it apart also and put the nuts on when the frame and rubber mount is in place. It was surprisingly a very easy job on my 96 Deville, Mike http://caddyinfo.ipbhost.com/index.php?showtopic=19074 Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

vdwarren
Mike and Ranger, thanks for the reply, it's incrediable what this forum has done for people like myself. The mtr. mnt. rplc. went exactly as described. Again, without this input, some of these repairs would require tranculizers.
