Texas Jim
Anyone know the location of the ECM and TCM on my 2006 DTS? I want to change them for new ones.
Ranger
ECM (Engine Control Module) is OBDI termination and has been changed to PCM (Powertrain Control Module). Unless GM moved it, it should be under the air filter box. It's there to be cooled by intake air. If by TCM you mean Traction Control Module, it is called the EBTCM (Electronic Brake & Traction Control Module). Follow the brake pipes from the master cylinder and they will lead you to it. Thanks Ranger, I meant the PCM. The TCM I was talking about is the Transmission Control Module. I am going to replace both of them with new ones. Ranger
I believe the PCM controls the trans. Remember, it is a "Powertrain" control module.
