sbass52
First I had a heater blower motor replaced on my 1998 Eldo $550. When I got it out of the shop I tried the settings on manual and one side of my vent had cold air and the other side had hot. My mechanic then said it needed an acutuator.I had a heater (acutuator) spelling??? installed on my car $230 and when I got my car back the trunk or gas door won't open unless I do it manually. My mechanic says that it has to be relearned??? I think a wire got pulled off when he replaced the part. Help. I can't afford another trip to the garage right now. JimD
Check the position of the valet switch in the glove box. It should be OFF. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !

NO, don't feel stupid, last week when this happened to me, I was checking the MANUAL for fuses and relays that might be related! I got gas and had to open the trunk (with a key) to pop the cover with the pull cord... It happens and its easy to forget. When I figured it out, it was one of those SMACK your head moments... Ranger
If ANYONE should feel stupid it is your mechanic for suggesting that it needs to be relearned.
