glockbwb
I just took my car out for a drive and my service engine light came on so I checked the codes and I got P039, P091 and I027 can anyone tell me what these mean. seanr1976
I believe your codes mean the following: P039 = Torque converter problem P091 = PRNDL Switch problem I027 = PRNDL321 Switch failure Are you having any problems switching gears? ---------------------- 1992 Eldorado 4.9L

glockbwb
I'm able to switch gears ok it is just alittle tight and it does come up shifter fault or something to that extent. Anyone have any ideas how that may be fixed? and I'm really concerned about the torque converter problem any ideas on where to start ? Cadillac Jim
The whole thing sounds like adjustment of the PRNDL switch or cable to me. If I'm right, fix that and all the codes go away. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
