Bruce Nunnally
Edmund's notes in an article: Audi is working with traffic-management experts in Ingolstadt to improve synchronization and phasing of traffic light networks by creating a communications link with cars. Modules built into traffic lights send signals to specially equipped vehicles in the vicinity, alerting them to the time remaining until the lights' next green phase. The car's onboard system then calculates the speed the driver needs to maintain in order to pass through the light during this green phase and displays the info in an Audi equipped with a Multi Media Interface display. So you can slow down a bit and arrive at the light when it is green, saving fuel. Or I suppose it would help with drag-strip style launches as well Bruce 2016 Cadillac ATS-V gray/black Follow me on: Twitter Instagram Youtube
