JimD
Move the plastic cover away from the fitting, use a pick or a jeweler's screwdriver to remove the locking clip from the fitting. Be careful about losing the (very small) O ring. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !

BodybyFisher
If this is a fitting, use an in line wrench or an in line claw. I was under the impression that these cars used a flanged end with an "O" ring to seal the transmission lines. I would bet that you will have a leak shortly. I hope that I am wrong! Good Luck!! Britt Britt, my 96 has a flare coupling at the radiator whereas my 91 had o-rings, Mike Mike, My 94 SLS had the "O" rings as well. They worked good, were easy to remove and install. I can remember many times having a flared fitting twist the line after several years of exposure to road grime and salt. Jim D had referred to an "O" ring also, so that just reinforced my belief that the later Caddies still used them. I had assumed that GM had gone to the "O" ring fitting permanently. It must be that the flare is cheaper to manufacture. One less part per connection. Live & learn. Thanks, Britt Britt
