BodybyFisher
By the way, I went out to my car, and looked around, when I was thinking about your problem and I found not one but two leaks. It looks like my surge tank is leaking AT THE BLEED LINE NIPPLE and it has been leaking for some time as I have white down the side of the tank.. Ahh that is my coolant smell... Need to get in there and see whats up... I found another small leak by the bolt with a hole in it, not sure where yet.. This time last year I replaced my crossover seals, water pump, heater pipes, green hoses, upper and lower hoses and thermostat.. so I have not looked at it much.. before I take a long trip I must see if my tank is cracked, I can see it now, blowing coolant all over the place on Route 95 south It pays to lift the hood.. thanks.. Ranger
My '97 cracked at the same place Mike. It was a hairline crack with just minor seepage. Had it not been for the coolant level sensor I'd have never been the wiser. Didn't even seep till it was hot and under pressure. BTW, don't try JB Weld. It worked for me for a few years, but my neighbor (who bought it) had to replace it this year.

Hey Thanks Larry, its time to buy a tank... that was a lucky catch, I haven't opened the hood much lately..
