Sounds like it's consistent with other 275 hp Northstars I have seen here. I'm assuming that you kept it below 75 mph most of the time, the terrain was level, and you kept a steady foot. A 300 hp Northstar like mine would average 23 mpg, including stops.

Wow, that makes me happier than heck! although the check oil light came on after putting a quart in, 450 miles..???

Needs more WOT. Do it in second gear and let it back down to 50 or so.

Mileage sounds right.
