dev96
I have a 1996 Sedan Deville. This message accompanied my vehicle progressively bogging down for about 5 miles until it eventually wouldn't move at all. If anyone knows the location of this sensor I would be grateful to find out. Thankyou,
Cadillac Jim
P0151 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Circuit Low Voltage Bank 2 Sensor 1 Bank 2 is the front cylinder bank and Sensor 1 is the oxygen censor right after the collector. From your symptoms, your catalytic converter is clogged. The sensor may be OK. If you verify that the cat is bad, ask your dealer if the cat is under extended Federal warranty. If not, get it replaced at a muffler shop, not a dealer; dealer prices are really, really incredible for cats. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars. Ranger
Unless I am mistaken, Bank 2 Sensor 1 is on the left bank (front) manifold. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is on the right bank (rear manifold). Bank 1 Sensor 2 is pre- CAT and Bank 1 Sensor 3 is aft-CAT.
