cyrez00
Hey guys, Need your help here.. A little while ago i ordered strut replacements for my Caddy Eldo 1993 N* I ordered the non-adjustable replacements. The front struts were a perfect fit and had no issues installing them. The rear struts however i received have ACDelco part number 503-343 but do not fit. The original strut are mounted with a single bolt on the control arm and the struts i received have a bracket on about a third from the bottom but no hole in the lower area. to cut a long story short i wanted to return them to Rockauto but the shipping charges would be so high that Rockauto gave me a refund and let me keep the struts. However, today i called to ACDelco to figure out which part number i actually need and the guy there said i had the correct part number and he stated that on a picture he had in front of him they had the single bolt lower mounting, he however could not send me a copy of this picture because of all kinds of reasons. he double checked with the GM database and this said the same. Can anyone tell me if they ever ordered those struts as well and received the correct ones? if so then it would indicate my struts were misboxed. Really at a loss here, don't want to order another set to find out i receive the wrong ones again! Thanks for your input. Marc. p.s. i have two rear struts for sale, only need to figure out for what car they are If you are in complete control..... you are not going fast enough.... But they're the ones that scrwed things up in the first place, why would he go back to them? If they had a solution, I would yhink they would have offered it at the time they were negotiating the credit deal. Of course, he could have been working with the customer service/return guy, who prob. knows nothing about parts I guess. Never underestimate the amount of a persons greed. I basically read the subject line as it was 5:35 and I was leaving the office. Sorry. The reason I suggested Rockauto it because of their parts search ability and the way they display the parts. They typically show a few different options. Take a piciture of the struts, with a close up of the attachment ends.
