jschunke
I recently completely replaced the rear brake lines on a 94 Seville. The trick is to cut the metal lines in place, then remover the rubber hoses. Then put the hose in a vise to unscrew the metal line. Managed tp get everything apart, and re-used the rubber lines. It was a pain in the butt, but better than paying the mechanic $1800.

You are correct, that is how my brake line fabricator suggested that I do it, cut it flush to the fitting and remove the fitting with a wrench. That tiny hose looks hard to get at. I have all new brake cables for my car, I would like to replace the brake line and hoses at the same time, my front hose is cracked.
