Silvereagle
Hi, I am new here and have a question. Tonight I locked my car and the keys are laying in the front seat. I put a extra set under the floor mat and had another door key made at WM and it did not work and I haven't had another one made yet. I usually have a door key tied by wire under the car but not this time. Can anyone tell me what I have to do to unlock the car. I have friends that work at the Caddy dealer to ask tomorrow. I hope I don't have to pay a locksmith but I will if I have to. All advice is appreciated. Silvereagle
Phillip
Well I don't think you have much choice Silvereagle. The only way I can think of to get in is to get a new key cut. The dealer can do this but it usually costs about $20 for a door key.
KHE
Any GM dealer can cut a door key using information from the VIN number. Door keys are $3.00 at most dealers - you will most likely need to show proof of ownership of the vehicle.
