98 deville codes

Recommended Posts

Hello first time on this forum and first time caddy owner. I think this is the right place to ask but i have been getting these 2 codes from the dtc, they are ACM B1983 and MSM U1064. I have no idea what they are but my car about every 2 days loses all of its memory and almost seems to restart the computer. The alarm wont work and it will act as if it is dead. I also think the A/C could work better it only blows cold when you drive about 50 and higher for more than 10 mins. When u slow down it warms back up. If any one could help it would be great.

Have you cleaned the battery connections especially the positive battery connection? Some years allow you to take the positive cable ends apart, there are two cables there, take them apart and clean the connections between them including the lead lug if you have one, Mike

Also have your battery load tested

I would have an AC shop evacuate it and recharge it, you are probably low in freon..
