fever502
I have an a/c question for you guys! I have a 1990 Eldorado. The a/c charge is fine. The pressures are low-35, high-225. The compressor cycles normally. The high side line is hot and the low side line is cold/sweating. The concern I am having is that there is warm-hot air coming from the vents inside. I believe there is a blend door concern. I self test the module but all I got was a code for the memory reset. I found a reset procedure for the motor under the glove but have not performed that yet. Have you seen any problems with these? Thanks John
KHE
Sounds like it could be a blend door problem. Observe the blend door while you adjust the temperature from 60 to 90 and back to 60 to see if it is moving the door. 95SevilleSLS
I'd put money on a blend door probably sticking. You obviously don't have a problem with the A/C itself since the line is cold. I have the same problem for my rear a/c in my suburban. -Dusty- - 02 Seville STS, white diamond - 93 Sixty Special, Tan with vinyl top - 79 Coupe DeVille, Tan with Tan top - 06 GMC Sierra Z71, Black - 92 Silverado C1500, black and grey - 83 Chevy K10 Silverado, Black and Grey
KHE
I have the same problem for my rear a/c in my suburban. The rear A/C problem in your Suburban is most likely due to a defective TXV (Thermal expansion valve) in the rear A/C circuit, not a blend door problem. fever502
I found the problem. The blend door actuartor rod was caught on the wiring harness next to the blend door motor. Thanks!!!!
