Look closely, especially in the interior shots. Every inch of that interior has a stick on logo, wreath, crest, piece of gold, chrome, or tacked on wood. rmac-etc
Uhhh, did you notice the end of the turn signal lever ... looks like a swastika. Have you seen what Tom Wolfe (author of "The Bonfire of the Vanities" ... etc ) did to his DeVille? http://brandnoise.typepad.com/brand_noise/...olfe_pimps.html From the NYTimes link: In the display case of auto mythology, Mr. Wolfe's Moby DeVille could take its place alongside Lyle Lovett's long white Caddy; the long black Cadillacs of blues belters; and the pink Cadillacs of Elvis, Aretha, Springsteen and the Mary Kay cosmetics lady. BUT!! From the May Rockauto newletter (scroll down) http://www.rockauto.com/Newsletter/index.html (I am quoting the article and inserting the picture cause it looks like when the June newletter arrives this one will be gone ...) I thought you would like to see my 1962 Cadillac. She just had a full brake service done. The brake shoes, drums, cylinders, along with replacing all the brake pipe work. Also replaced the rear lower control arms and bushings. The car has been in the UK for about three years....and what can I say...the feeling you get when you drive this fine lady is so good and the attention she draws from people of all ages is great! We searched for almost ten years before we found her...I just love it. When we show the car it is amazing the number of people who just want to touch her and especially the rear fins. Most people are amazed at this piece of American automotive history. Regards, Mark Kibble (England)
thu
Yes, the turn signal stalk does indeed have a Swastika on it. 2003 Seville STS 43k miles with the Bose Sound, Navigation System, HID Headlamps, and MagneRide 1993 DeVille. growe3
The turn signal end is a leather weave button, often found on many older coats. While a little strange, in my opinion, not sinister.
