Richj
I changed the crankshaft position sensors on my Deville. I disconnected the battery and left it disconnected for an hour thinking it would erase any stored codes and reset the system. Now, when you turn the key to run the dash lights come on and go out but the security light stays on. If you turn the key to start, all the dash lights go out and there is no cranking. Also, the key fob will lock and unlock the doors but will not open the trunk. I scanned it for codes and get the following: IPC 1000 PDM 1000 PCM 1634 Any suggestions on what I should do next? Cadillac Jim
B1000 ECU Malfunction U1000 Class 2 Communication Malfunction P1634 Ignition 1 Switch Circuit Something is not plugged in. It's also possible that you might need to clean the battery cables. -- Click Here for CaddyInfo page on "How To" Read Your OBD Codes-- Click Here for my personal page to download my OBD code list as an Excel file, plus other Cadillac data -- See my CaddyInfo car blogs: 2011 CTS-V, 1997 ETC Yes, I was Jims_97_ETC before I changed cars.
