navion
Does anyone know if there is a procedure for testing injectors out of the engine? I tried a search, but ran short of time. Thanks, Britt Britt
MAC
I don't know about "out of" the engine but injectors can be tested through the PCM.
JimD
If you mean a go - no go test for the solenoid coil, you can jumper in a 9 volt battery to test that part. If you mean a flow and pattern test, these guys have a good reputation http://www.cruzinperformance.com/fuelinj.html Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE ! What job
There is a machine for testing the flow rate etc but this is not a common machine. A friend of mine that had his own injection co had one and said they cost about 3or4 grand. I guess this is why you do not see this machine very often. I think there are a few places on line that you can send the injectors in but if you need the car everyday this is not much help. If you are located in or near a large city there maybe a shop that does a lot of injection repair. If so they should have one of these testers. Good luck. BodybyFisher
Hi Britt, you can check the windings by testing the resistance. I am not sure what the resistance should be but I am sure you can find that out.
