kcd1184
Replaced rear pads and rotors on the 94 Eldo last weekend. The pads were probably at 50% but stopping power was not right and I was getting a rub noise and that would not stop when brakes were applied. Anyhow, did the brake job and man, what a difference. Noise is gone to. Is it possible the rears were not functioning? $28 for rotors (total) and my buddy just warrantys the pads. Thank goodness I did it because I had a 75mph Chicago traffic stop yesterday I don"t think the pre brake job car would have handled. Kent
BodybyFisher
Did you bleed the system? If you did, air in the system would not allow the rears to compress the rotor hard Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm

If you did, air in the system would not allow the rears to compress the rotor hard A while back, I did front rotors and pads and also the rubber brake lines. I had to bleed the front calipers, but was told that if I was careful of the fluid level when doing this that the rear brakes would not be affected.
