Marika
Living here in North Eastern New Jersey, and watching snow fall as we "speak", when do you guys think I should finally remove my Dunlop Graspic snow tires? The Michelin tires are horrible to begin with and even worse when there's even just a dusting of snow (car slides all over the road even with 1/16" of snow or less) so I'm trying to avoid getting stuck with the Michelin tires on the car if it snows. By the way, the Dunlops performed flawlessly. Awesome winter tires. If you really want to make people safe drivers again then simply remove all the safety features from cars. No more seat belts, ABS brakes, traction control, air bags or stability control. No more anything. You'll see how quickly people will slow down and once again learn to drive like "normal" humans. Ranger
I would venture to say you can remove them anytime this month and be PRETTY safe, but there is always that chance of the unusual spring snow in April. The odds are in your favor.
KenD
March and April are always funny months as the weather patterns are still quite unstable. I usually wait until mid April, or at least until after the first rain. Then you're pretty much guaranteed that it's free and clear. Even if there is a light dusting of snow, it would only last realistically until the next day. 1994 STS Pearl White 260,000 KM (163,000 miles) <img src="http://img45.photobucket.com/albums/v137/caesar/caddycaesar.jpg" border="0" class="linked-sig-image" />
rek
When I used to run snow tires, it worked like this: If I removed them, it WOULD snow some more. If I left them on, it wouldn't snow. rek
