rjhat
I need a picture or someone to get me some info off of their transmitter. Mine is a 4 button for a 97 concourse. A component is broken off of the board . the comonent is located just below the only large chip on the board and has two soldered contacts. GM wants $135 for a new transmitter, so i would like to try getting just the part thats missing.

JasonA
Rjhat, click on the link below for a picture of my '97 RKE transmitter: http://jadcock.oldsgmail.com/cadsls/bb/rke1.jpg It appears to be a resistor or transistor labeled "1050". This remote wasn't working for me for the longest time and I took it apart to clean the contacts on the buttons. Turns out one of the two pins of this component (the one you are looking for) was broken from the PCB and I had to re-solder it. Works like a champ now. Hope this helps! giant killer
The component that is shown in the picture looks like a crystal. It oscillates at a certain frequency. If you knew what the operating frequency was, you could purchase one at an Electronic Supply place.
