Any chance a dome light, trunk light, glove box light, under hood light, radio, amp, CD player was left on to drain your battery? If you did not have enough power to close the trunk today, but the car ran yesterday, I'd say look at the battery connections. Start at the obvious... Cables. Usually when a battery dies, it does not go to 0 amps.... WEAR EYE PROTECTION! Loosen, clean, tighten, charge battery and check out. You mey be able to tell when you take it apart, see if the connection looks bad. (Beware: A perfectly clean looking connection can have a poor connection.) Don't be fooled by a bad looking battery. I just started reading a battery guide that claims you can get your old batteries good as new if you know how to clean the interior pf the battery. good luck,
BodybyFisher
It could just be bad connections as cadiking stated, I also would look there, take apart the positive cable by pulling the red insulator off and clean inside.
