Jason15036
Hey I guys driving today and got the ABS and TRACTION CONTROL light on and SERVICE STABILITY SYSTEM. Shut off and restart, went away for a little bit and came back and now is on all the time. Have 1 code C1242 - Pump Motor Circuit Open. I don't know want to do to fix this problem. Also I know I have the left side hub bearing going bad. Could this code be related to the abs sensor in the hub. Any help would be great, Jason
BodybyFisher
A badly damaged hub bearing will damage the speed sensor, and turn on your traction control light. You should get a code for it. The ABS light appears to be not related, and according to your other thread you are getting a circuit open C1242 - Pump Motor Circuit Open, which sounds like a bad connection at the ABS unit or a blown fuse. I don't have a 2000 manual but I will look in my 96 later Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
