Lost a trim piece

Recommended Posts

On the 1996 series El Dorado's there is a color keyed trim piece that is affixed (sort of) to the very lower portion of each door. Mine blew off the passenger door a couple of days ago (now I know what that noise was! <_< ) and I'd like to find another black one if I can.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Try, http://www.car-parts.com or the dealer, its amazing what the dealer has available if you have deep pockets!

I have a 96 and recently purchased the molded vacuum hose that runs from the vacuum tank to the T to the HVAC controls, the black rubber material that crosses the front of the car to direct air into the radiator, a driver side seat spring and the driver side seat plastic trim (that cracks so easy, see photo)....... The only problem was that I had to hand over my right LUNG.... but I got the parts

Car-parts.com is a cool site, thanks for the tip.

I made 15 calls in 1/2 hour with no luck, but there are plenty more places to try. If I wanted the whole door, dented and rusted with no glass and a broken window motor I'd be in luck.

I checked and yes, the dealer can get me one - $241.12. Ouch.
