docbertsch
I got the P0717 OBDII code this evening when I was driving home. Anyone have an idea on what causes this code and what I can do to repair the issue? 1996 Cadillac Seville STS, oh yeah. Thanks.
JimD
My first action would be to clear the code and see if it returns. Seriously. Jim Drive your car. Use your cell phone. CHOOSE ONE !
Logan
I think thats the trans input speed sensor.... Check to make sure none of the spark plug wires are reasting on the engine harness. They can cause a false signal/code. bbozsik
I'm getting an intermittent trans input speed sensor code... do you think it's possible that old/aftermarket spark plug wires could cause this. Sometimes I can make the code go away and get data while driving when I step on the gas, and when I release the peddle, it will cause a fault. It's a very strange intermittent fault...
