Ranger Posted October 26, 2005 Report Share Posted October 26, 2005 Hmm, if that were the case, wouldn't gas overflow when you filled the tank? If the pressure of fueling was enough to move the check ball, wouldn't a siphon hose have enough pressure when you push it in to move the check ball? The only logical explanation I can think of is that the check ball doesn't move down far enough to allow a siphon hose to snake around it. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
joeb Posted October 26, 2005 Report Share Posted October 26, 2005 duh, I got it backwards. the ball is inside the plastic gas tank inlet nipple. the inlet nipple is horizontal but i would have to assume it is spring loaded. otherwise what would keep it seated?
