Poobah Posted May 9, 2005 Report Share Posted May 9, 2005 I have to add a quart of oil about every 1000 miles (about normal for a Northstar). The OLM tells me to change oil about every 6000 miles. At that rate, I add about 6 quarts of fresh oil to my 7 1/2 quart crankcase (nearly a complete oil change) between oil changes.
