tinvan1
I have 94 SLS Seville. My remote key fob does not function. I have changed the battery. I have tried a spare key fob. It still does not work . Does it require resetting after battery replacement?
Ranger
Take it apart and look for a loose solder connection. I have fixed one that way recently.
Scotty
Larry is correct, I had to resolder mine also, see the photo, the grey component broke loose, solder it back in place and it worked fine for me... Mike Also the battery contact on the left, that looks like a silver H, GENTLY pull up on the arms so that they put more pressure on the battery...GENTLY Early on sailors navigated by the stars at night and the North star became the symbol for finding ones way home. WarrenJ
Did it EVER work?? Perhaps the car simply needs to be programmed. For programming, all the info you might need is in the archive. And NO, battery replacement will cause no problems. The hand held remote is programmed with a fixed ID; it's the CAR that must be programmed to recognize the remote, NOT vice-the-versa. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of a voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as a final and total catastrophe of the currency system involved. - Ludwig von Mises
