joeb
my 96 A/C has always worked ok but never super cold. I have had it for 5 yrs and have never added freon. this weekend the a/c clutch would not engage and the only code i found was ac1437. I did a search and found nothing so i decided to add some freon. I disconnected the battery and when i started the car the clutch kicked in. I gave it about 1/2 a can of freon and it feels cool. I don't want to just blindly add freon. since i do not know what the code means i could be overcharging the system. can anyone decipher the code for me? thanks.
