SLS1996
I ordered a 95 Seville Service manual via the link I found on this board "it was a no brainer for 30 bucks". http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.asp?c...ESSCKS2P4W7FX6D I wondering how much has changed between the 95 and 96 SLS. What got me to thinking was the trouble codes. Does anyone know if there where many changes between 95 and 96?

SLS1996
Well, one thing I can tell you is the '95 is OBDI aqnd the '96 is OBDII. So is the 95 service manual vastly different from the 96 manual ? Are the trouble codes that much different ? My 96 comes up with A codes that are only documented as B codes as far as I can tell. Ranger
Well, I'm not real familiar with the differences between the '95 & '96. Someone with more knowledge about the two will have to answer that, though I would guess the differences are subtle. Motors are the same I am pretty sure. Codes are different. OBDII codes http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2.html OBDI codes http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd1.html OBDI will let you into PCM overrides and do a lot more diagnostics than the OBDII will. JasonA
Yes, the computer systems are way different, and the trouble codes would be way different also (I believe). In addition, the '96 received a new interior, but all the mechanicals are very much the same. Jason(2001 STS, White Diamond) "When you turn your car on...does it return the favor?"
