JMG Posted August 16, 2019 Report Share Posted August 16, 2019 I found that the AC wasn't cooling as good as it did last week. upon inspection I found the evaporator and blower motor assembly cover had a blowout. the cover is brittle and breaking apart. Not much info here but I am assuming it is a 90s era and the plastic housing surrounding the hvac box is falling apart. So the engine has to be dropped to replace it, not sure if it is still available. I am sure someone will post that may have done one recently. I put a plate on mine and used rtv silicone to seal it up. Mine works great. Mine did the same yours did.
