PtheT44
Hello! I have a '04 DeVille DHS. My traction control trouble light turns on almost immediately after I start driving. It seems to me that in the past it took a while to come on, possibly only after hard braking or a hard turn. If I drive a half hour or more, I'll normally get "Service Stability System" on the display. The only code I can pull is ABS C1295. Hopefully it's all related? The car drives and brakes just fine, haven't noticed any glitches at all. Appreciate any help, thanks!
BodybyFisher
question: Do your brake lights operate as expected?. My guess is they don't DTC C1295 Brake Lamp Switch Circuit Open This is an open brake light switch circuit and it is related to the traction control message. I think the 'service stability system' is not related to this. report back thanks Pre-1995 - DTC codes OBD1 >> 1996 and newer - DTC codes OBD2 >> https://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/gm/obd_codes.htm How to check for codes Caddyinfo How To Technical Archive >> http://www.caddyinfo.com/wordpress/cadillac-how-to-faq/ Cadillac History & Specifications Year by Year http://www.motorera.com/cadillac/index.htm
PtheT44
Brake lights work fine, passed two inspections since it started. I should mention that my mechanic replaced the brake pedal switch and there was no change.

PtheT44
OK, sorry for the delay. These are the codes I got: ABS 1287 History ABS 1295 History IPC U1016 RCC B1009 Cleared all codes, drove 15 minutes, Traction Control trouble light came back on. After that the only code is ABS 1295 History. Thanks
BodybyFisher
Check the B1009 to see if it is history or current. It is B1009 EEPROM Checksum Error, and it is only a problem if its current.
