red-oak
This is where I was a few short months back when I had to fix my fuel data center screen to pull the code that was putting on my service soon light so got back to it have a little time and the code is E48 EGR system fault. I sure can use advice as I am planning on getting on the problem second thing in the morning around 10 am

red-oak
Thanks I have checked the tubes and they seam to be very clean I took the egr off and blew air through to the throttle body
BodybyFisher
You need to clean the egr valve really good. Obviously, it is possible that you have a bad EGR. With the engine idling, reach up under it and press up and if it almost stalls or stumbles. OldCadTech
BEST way to test an egr valve is apply vacuum to it using a mity-vac or similar tool while feeling for movement of the diaphragm Quote THERE IS ALWAYS ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE JOB RIGHT - THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH TIME TO DO THE JOB AGAIN !!! red-oak
I popped the hood and looked at it to-day, using the service manual I found the vacuum line from the throttle body to the switch to the egr valve has a split in it so I replaced the line hopefully all is well but the idle seamed to of sped up on a test drive but seams to be ok now but code 98 was showing I cleared the codes as I needed to get the light off for an Etest
