Sagging rear end problem

Cadillacs do not use "air bags" in the suspension. They have air shocks. Check the air lines for chafing near moving suspension parts.

Do you have any diagnostic codes? Do you know how to enter the diagnostic mode? If not, see below:

To enter diagnostic mode:

1. Turn ignition "ON."

2. Depress the "OFF" and "WARMER" buttons on the Climate Control Center (CCC) simultaneously and hold until the segment check appears on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC).

I believe the above instructions will work for a 97 Eldorado.

97LDOUGH,

You may have a hole in your airline which would

cause the compressor to run continually which is

the noise you're probably hearing. Sounds as though

the compressor is trying (in vain) to pump up the

shocks but, if in fact you do have a leaky air line

the compressor will eventually burn out.

Ditto, dont let this go on too long you will burn out the compessor.... Check the tubing and look at the air bladders on the shocks for tears, leaks, use a brush and apply soapy water and look for bubbles.... If you cant find the leak quickly pull the fuse on the compressor
