CoupeDTS Posted January 10, 2005 Report Share Posted January 10, 2005 I ran some top engine cleaner through my 99 sts and afterword my car wouldnt start good when it was warm. I saw on posts that this is the Fuel pressure regulator. So i took the vacuum hose off of it and sure enough there was gas in it. So it was bad. Got a new one for free off a 3800 engine with 16k mi on it. They are the same. GM uses the same one for lots of cars. Engine started the way it should for weeks. Now its starting like crap again. Is it bad again or is it something else? I hate to spend 50$ on a new one to last another month. First "...used with stainless steel fuel rail (second design)..." and the second kit "...first design...", for my STS 95. I recently got the fuel rail replaced under the recall, so I am wandering which one to get now.
