BodybyFisher
There is a shift interlock, that stops your shifter from coming out of PARK unless you step on the brake. When you step on your brake pedal do you hear a click? BodybyFisher
I know that Cadillac Jim here has a 2002 factory service manual and he should be able to give you more detailed information, regarding fuses, brake pedal switches, shift lever solenoid, etc. You might have a look up under the dash under the drivers side, you might need to remove a kick panel and see if there are any loose wires or switches by the brake pedal.
