Bruce Nunnally Posted May 8, 2016 Report Share Posted May 8, 2016 in 1964 Harper's Bazaar hired photographer Lee Friedlander to shoot the new cars coming out that year for its November issue. They were familiar with the young artist, and his work shooting portraits and album covers of jazz musicians, so its art department let him shoot however he pleased: fully hands-off, a rarity.
