Ive found several guides how to check the code on different kind of cadillacs, but not 1998 Eldorado. Can someone please tell me how I check whats wrong? Cadillac Jim Posted November 27, 2014 Report Share Posted November 27, 2014 Turn the key on, then press <Off> and <Pass Warmer> on the A/C buttons together for a few seconds until all the dash lights come on like you just turned on the key. Then, release both of them. The car's computers will go into the diagnostic mode and will poll the modules, one at a time, and display the codes on the dashboard message panel.
