James Seth Johnson
I was a little confused when trying to purchase OEM struts for my 95 Eldorado ETC. At one site it had left and right Soft ride and only one right side sport. I just need to know the difference. It was my understanding from reading the forum that the active OEM strut adjusts according to how you are driving the car at the time; please clarify any differences for me and thank you in advance! KHE
The difference is in the valving of the struts and the actuators that are at the bottom of the strut. The base Eldorado has the road sensing suspension (RSS) while the Eldorado Touring Coupe has the contnouously variable road sensing suspension (CVRSS). You need the correct shocks/struts so that they function properly. In your case, you need the sport struts.
