Posted December 31, 2012 Report Share Posted December 31, 2012 The service engine light came on in my 2001 Deville and after checking the computer codes, code PO741 came up indicating "TCC System Stuck Off" . KHE Posted January 1, 2013 Report Share Posted January 1, 2013 P0741 is the code for excessive slippage in the torque converter. If the rate of the slippage is greater than 200 RPM, the code will set. The most likely culprit (unless another code is also set) is the seals in the torque converter apply circuit. The fix requires removal of the transmission, seal replacement and the torque converter must be replaced. About $1200 from a transmission shop.
